October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

It is our chance to sharpen our cybersecurity skills, learn ways to avoid security threats, and have some fun while we are at it! We will be serving up some tasty cybersecurity tips and resources to help you stay safe and secure, whether at work or home. Together, we will create the perfect recipe for cybersecurity awareness. If you have any questions about cybersecurity or spot something suspicious, ask us! We’re here to help. See the various events we will be offering below!

Week 1

Phishers will send you enticing emails. They claim to be a friend or colleague and ask for money, data, or special access. When you smell phish, report it immediately or you might get burned!
Don’t get burned by scam emails

Week 2

Keep your system healthy by using only the freshest, strongest passwords! Choose long passwords with special characters and change them regularly. Monitor their freshness with approved password managers.
Successful cybersecurity recipe: Strong passwords

Week 3

Spice up your system with the latest updates and patches. Out-of-date systems leave a bad taste in your mouth. Updates are free to download and stop your security from becoming stale.

Week 4

Multi-factor authentication uses a buffet of factor options to protect your data, such as authentication codes, key cards, and fingerprint scans. With MFA, you protect devices with more than a password!
