Mr. Amos discusses his early life, family, and career in oceanography; his work at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute; his studies of San Jose Island and Mustang Island; turtles, dolphins, birds, and other wildlife; tidal charts; trash, marine debris, and MARPOL; oil spills; and his work with ARK (the Animal Rehabilitation Keep, now called the Amos Rehabilitation Keep) and the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network.
