What is IRC?

IRC is a recess-based camp for children ages 5-12. Camp runs for 8 weeks from 7:30AM-5:30PM. Activities include swimming (swim test required), PE type games and activities, arts/crafts, outside play, field trips, and more!

  • June 2 - August 1 (closed week of July 4th)
  • Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

  • Lunch must be provided by camper each day. IRC will provide a morning & afternoon snack for each camper.
    • Please notify IRC Director of food allergies
    • Lunches will be refrigerated
  • Reading Enrichment with College of Education (Weeks 7 & 8 for certain grade levels).
  • Camp Curriculum & fun activities with Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation
  • Cost
    • $120 per child / per week - community, faculty & staff
    • $100 per child / per week for enrolled students
Cancellation Policy:
  • $20 non-refundable fee: This fee is charged if you cancel.
  • 100% forfeited after June 6: If you cancel after this date, you lose the entire amount paid.
Transfer Policy:
  • If you want to transfer to another week, the new week must have available spots.
  • If the camp you're transferring to is full, you will be added to waitlist.
Partial Payment:
  • $80 is required to register: This amount secures your spot.
  • The remaining balance is due by May 1.
  • If the balance is unpaid by May 1, you will be removed from the roster, and your spot will be given to someone else.
  • Participants who are removed will still owe the $20 non-refundable fee, but the rest of the payment will be refunded.
