Collaborative Community Research Center
The Collaborative Community Research Center (CCRC) is a university level research center addressing multifaceted issues and opportunities in the areas of education, health, and social well-being for individuals and communities in the region. It also provides the opportunity to further enhance support for multidisciplinary and community-based research and scholarship, as well as service contracts, especially among the College of Education and Human Development, Liberal Arts, and Nursing and Health Sciences.
Emerging Vision
The Center will be a local and regionally recognized data hub and home to innovative community participatory research that helps develop and sustain human and social capital in the Coastal Bend and South Texas.
Mission
The Center provides an inclusive environment where faculty, staff, students, families, healthcare organizations, schools, and communities can initiate and participate in the development of innovative research and evidence-based practices to improve health, education, and social outcomes in the region.

The Center is committed to the holistic development and ongoing support of individuals and communities in the Coastal Bend Region of South Texas by fostering rigorous and innovative collaborative research and respectful engagement.
