Texas Examinations of Educators Standards (TExES) Approval

Approval for a TAMUCC student to take the TExES content exam for 4-8 or 8-12 mathematics or science is given by the appropriate content faculty member. Those faculty are:

  • Mathematics 4-8: Elaine Young
  • Mathematics 8-12: Elaine Young
  • Life Science 8-12: Cherie McCollough
  • Science 8-12: Cherie McCollough
  • Physical Science 8-12: Philippe Tissot
  • Science 4-8: Philippe Tissot
All requests are made online through the University TAR system. Prior to making the online request, please take transcripts to the appropriate content faculty member and be prepared to take a practice exam based on the exam framework as found in the preparation manuals.
