Sense of Belonging
At Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, we recognize that a strong sense of belonging is essential for student success. Through Operation GRAD, we cultivate an inclusive and supportive environment, ensuring all students—especially those from underserved backgrounds—feel valued and connected to the university community.
Creating a Welcoming Community
Our Sense of Belonging program provides opportunities for students to build relationships and find support through:
- Campus Events – Events designed to foster meaningful connections and a sense of belonging.
- Student Support Networks – Safe spaces where students can share experiences and receive guidance.
Structured Learning Assistance (SLA)
A key part of this initiative, SLA enhances student success in 0000-1000 level courses by offering:
- Structured Learning Sessions – Targeted support to reinforce course material and strengthen study skills.
- Sense of Belonging Curriculum – Interactive activities and discussions promoting inclusivity and campus engagement.
