Brief Description: Peer Coaches help new students adjust to life at TAMU-CC. As a Peer Coach, you support students' academic transition to TAMU-CC through individualized academic coaching. Peer Coaches support students by making personalized recommendations regarding campus resources; encouraging engagement on-campus and in the community; by facilitating study, time management, and other academic success skills; and by modeling responsible and healthy decision-making.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate applicants with at least 24+ earned credits with a minimum TAMU-CC GPA of 2.75
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with core curriculum, non-concentration course choices, and academic opportunities
- Knowledge of campus resources
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Personable with a positive attitude
- Strong organizational and time management skills are critical
- Must adhere to deadlines and be able to prioritize

They provide personalized support, recommend valuable campus resources, offer encouragement both on-campus within the community, future career endeavors and help students develop essential academic skills.
Qualifications:

Position Summary:
The role of the Student Technical Assistant is to provide support and assistance to the Office of Student Success personnel in various technical tasks. The Student Technical Assistant reports to the Director of Student Success Data & Technology and will work closely with the department's staff to help maintain and troubleshoot technical equipment, assist with software installations and upgrades, and provide general technical support.

Anticipated Responsibilities:
- Assist the Student Success Data & Technology team to Provide General IT support for the Office of Student Success Personnel.
- Evaluate and follow through on issues and problems in an expedient and efficient manner until resolved or escalated to TAMUCC’s central IT department.
- Conduct follow-through activities routinely to ensure reported issues and problems are resolved and communication loop with customer has been completed.
- Assist with the setup, installation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of software applications and updates.
- Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance as needed.
- Help maintain inventory of technical equipment and supplies via internal database.
- Help maintain Office of Student Success system records (i.e., Starfish, TracCloud, in-house database, etc.).
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures related to data security and confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Available to work On‐campus.
- Can lift and move computers and peripherals (e.g., printers, monitors, PC towers).

Position Summary:
The Graduate Administrative Research Assistant (GARA) for Student Success Data & Technologies will support the onboarding and training of faculty, staff, and students in utilizing student success technologies at TAMU-CC. This is a year-round assistantship reporting to the Director of Student Success Data & Technology. The GARA will assist with end-user training, technical support, documentation, and data-informed research initiatives to enhance the adoption and effectiveness of student success tools offered by the Office of Student Success.
The Graduate Assistant for Student Success Technologies role doesn't require a technical background and will involve training and research functions. Training will be provided to ensure success in the position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Training & Onboarding
- Develop and deliver training programs for faculty, staff, and students on the effective use of student success technologies.
- Create instructional materials, user guides, and video tutorials for self-paced learning.
- Conduct workshops and one-on-one training sessions tailored to different user needs.
- Gather feedback from trainees to improve training resources and sessions.
- Technical Support
- Provide ongoing support for users of student success technologies, addressing issues and troubleshooting problems.
- Respond to user inquiries and resolve issues to minimize disruptions in daily operations.
- Assist faculty, staff, and students in navigating system features and optimizing their use of available tools.
- Documentation & System Management
- Maintain records of training sessions, attendance, and user feedback.
- Assist in updating and managing knowledge base documentation for student success technologies.
- Ensure adherence to university policies regarding FERPA, data security, and confidentiality.
- Research & Data Analysis
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing student success data to identify patterns, trends, and outcomes that inform strategies.
- Support research projects and reports related to student engagement, academic performance, and support services.
- Collaborate with the department to design surveys to gather feedback and evaluate the impact of student success initiatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, be admitted in a graduate degree program, and be in good academic standing. Additional academic requirements include:
- New Students: 3.0 GPA on the last 60 semester credit hours (or equivalent) of undergraduate work and any previous work in a graduate or professional school, or
- Current Students: graduate GPA of at least a 3.0
- Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to provide presentations in a group setting.
- Must have a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with student success technologies (e.g., Starfish, Navigate, TracCloud).
- Strong training and presentation skills for in-person and virtual sessions.
- Experience in technical support or customer service.
