TAMUCC Environmental Policy Statement
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is dedicated to being an exemplary environmental steward. In keeping with this vision and to maintain the campus effectively while also working to preserve the environment for future students, the University affirms its commitment to environmental excellence and actively promotes a healthy, quality environment. The University embraces its role to provide educational leadership to achieve the goals of this policy and to balance fiscal and environmental responsibility.
Commitment to Environmental Stewardship
Members of The Texas A&M University System have a rich history of environmental stewardship that continues to be positively reflected every day on our campuses and at our agencies. Our commitment to environmental stewardship is proven as we plan, design and build our facilities. Additionally, on a daily basis, we have many professionals, workers, contractors and volunteers maintaining our standards and improving our practices.
Moreover, environmental stewardship is a commitment that has been codified by the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents in System Regulation 34.01.03 Environment. As chancellor, I heartily endorse this regulation.
If you would like to learn more, have ideas for how we can improve or would like to play an active role, you are invited to reach out to the A&M System Environmental Manager at safety@tamus.edu.
