A site safety plan checklist must be completed by the contractor and approved by the EHS office, prior to an event or construction project beginning to ensure all environmental, health and safety regulations are met.
Every contractor is expected to take steps to protect the safety and health of our faculty, staff, students, and visitors during the performance of their work activities. Contractors are expected to comply with all rules, regulations, and best management practices applicable to the Construction Site and are responsible for ensuring that their sub-contractors do the same.
Routine unannounced inspections may be conducted by E,H&S. These job site visits are conducted solely for the benefit of the university and shall not relieve the contractor of responsibility for enforcement of, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
