Zoom Meeting

The new Zoom Pro/Blackboard integration allows faculty and students the ease of using Zoom right from their course.  You will enjoy all the same great features you have come to expect when using Zoom.  Some additional perks include automatic login, scheduling right from your Blackboard course, and the ability to control what recordings are published to your students. You can easily direct your students to the Zoom section to access their meetings and recordings for their course.

Zoom Whiteboard is a new visual collaboration tool that allows users to create persistent digital whiteboards that can be accessed and shared anytime, in our out of Zoom meetings.

Features include:

Go beyond just simple multiple choice polling  during your Zoom Meeting class time. Create advanced polls to take advantage of new matching, ranked choice, short answer, and long answer options. Turn advanced polls into quizzes by simply setting correct answer for your poll questions.

Creating your Zoom quiz:

1. Log into your Zoom portal tamucc.zoom.us
2. On the Meetings page, click the Polls/Quizzes tab > Create > Advanced Polls an Quizzing.
   
3. Title the quiz.
4. Click the more button (...) and select the Make a quiz and set correct answers checkbox.
5. Enter the question text then click the dropdown menu to select the question type.
   
6. Click the Set Answer link, select the correct answer(s) then click Done.
   
7. Repeat steps 5 & 6 for each additional question, then click Save when you are done creating all your quiz questions.

• Zoom desktop client (Upgrading Zoom to the latest version)
  • Windows: version 5.8.3 or higher
  • macOS: version 5.8.3 or higher
  • Linux: version 5.8.3 or higher
• Zoom mobile app*
  • Android: version 5.8.3 or higher
  • iOS: version 5.8.3 or higher
• Web client
• The meeting must be either a scheduled meeting, or an instant meeting using your Personal Meeting ID.
  
  *Note: Users on the iOS or Android mobile app can participant in polling, but hosts need to be using the desktop client to manage polling.
