Computer Accounts
A computer account for accessing various applications as a TAMU-CC student is called "Island ID". Use it to access many of the university systems: Canvas, S.A.I.L, Islander email, WiFi Access, DegreeWorks, Microsoft Office 365, Zoom , Starfish, LinkedIn Learning, Mathlab, and Qualtrics. It contains your first initial and last name and may be followed by a series of numbers.

Prepare Your Computer for Digital Learning
- TAMU-CC will use the Canvas learning management system until May 15, 2024 to support digital learning. To prepare your computer for Canvas, visit the Canvas Technical Requirements section and follow instructions provided there.
- Starting with May 15, 2024, the university will use Canvas to support digital instruction. Students and faculty are encouraged to use the Canvas Help button on the main blue menu in Canvas to call and chat with Canvas technical support available 24/7.

Canvas
- Canvas includes access to 24/7 support via chat or phone for both instructors and students. Click the "Help" option on the Canvas global navigation menu to contact support.
Reading Journal Articles Available via Bell Library on Canvas
- If the link to a full-text article in Canvas does not work, go to the library homepage. In the Quick Search box, enter the article's title. If you need further assistance, call the Bell Library at (361) 825-4509.
