Research Development
The mission of the Office of Research Development (ORD) is to promote, cultivate, and advocate for research and creative activity based on the academic community’s interests.
Our vision is to provide outstanding proposal development services and expertise in our areas to create a world-class customer experience to foster research and creative activity excellence across the Island University.
What We Do
Our office strives to support research and creative activity at all levels of development. We host multiple programs and opportunities for faculty and staff to enhance their work and grow as researchers. The Office of Research Development is able to work with a range of disciplines from all academic colleges at TAMU-CC.
To further our mission, we:
- Promote, cultivate, and advocate for research and creative activity
- Manage internal funding competitions
- Provide support in developing research- and creative activity-focused proposals
- Coordinate resources to strengthen proposals
- Assist with large team/collaborative proposal submissions
What We Offer
The Office of Research Development is dedicated to providing faculty and staff on campus with the tools to develop successful and competitive proposals. We also provide support in the form of funding opportunities and regular events highlighting faculty and researchers on campus.

Research Newsletter
The Office of Research Development sends regular announcements from the Office of Research Development and the Division of Research and Innovation in the form of a newsletter. This newsletter provides researchers on campus with information about:
- Upcoming Research and Innovation events
- Internal and external funding opportunities
- Webinars and events related to research and creative activity
- Other opportunities and general announcements

Finding Funding Opportunities
Pivot-RP
The Office of Research Development and the Mary and Jeff Bell Library provide access to Pivot-RP to staff and students. This database allows the user to search for funding and collaboration opportunities from federal and private sources, as well as the European Union and Australia.
