For Instructor-Led Courses
Students enrolled in a six-week online class benefit from an automatic 10-day extension for each course without having to ask. No additional extension available.
For Self-Paced Tutorials:
Extension. No extension available. Students who need additional access must re-enroll and make additional payment.
Transfer. Transfers between course titles cannot be processed. Students must be dropped from their current enrollment and re-enrolled in the desired course.
Drop/Refund. Enrollments can be dropped and refunded if the start date is within the last six months and the student has not completed the course by final exam submission or access term expiration.
For Career Training programs:
Extensions.
If you realize during your initial enrollment that you will need more time to complete a program, you can request an extension by emailing continuing.ed@tamucc.edu. Extensions are granted on a case by case basis and are not available for all programs. Requests must be received within two (2) weeks of the program end date or may be purchased up-front through your Student Advisor.
We strongly encourage you to complete the Advanced Career Training within the designated access term, however, we understand you may need additional time to be successful. Therefore, we consider program extensions for Advanced Career Training Programs on a case-by-case basic.
Policy: If you require additional time to complete an enrollment, you may be granted up to two extensions, each equal to twenty-five percent (25%) of the initial duration of access for the enrollment. Extensions shall not exceed the initial duration of access by one hundred and fifty percent (150%). (For example, a 12-month program will have two 12-week extensions available, for a total access period of 18 months.

Note: Military and Workforce funded students must abide by their funding agents Extension Policy.
Refunds. Cancellations/Drops/Withdrawals
No refunds shall be available after the ten (10) calendar days commencing on the Start Date, unless written justification is received from the Student within the original access period of the Student’s program, not including extensions, transfers or holds processed, and complaints are found to be valid based on further investigation, including soliciting course provider and/or facilitator feedback, and school’s review of the findings of the investigation.
Materials must be received within ten (10) days of the date of Materials Return Instructions to the Student by email notification. The cost of materials not received or those that cannot be returned (such as software, memberships, exam vouchers, exam sponsorship, equipment, etc.) shall not be refunded to the Student. Refunds shall be paid to the Student or loan forgiveness shall be granted within thirty (30) days following the deactivation date of the program.
