Brass at TAMU-CC
The Brass Area at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi provides a personalized education that prepares students for a variety of creative careers. Under the mentorship of our supportive faculty, students cultivate the versatility and dedication needed for diverse careers in music. Our alumni have become performers, educators, composers, music therapists, audio engineers, and industry professionals, with many pursuing graduate degrees.
Brass students at TAMU-CC thrive in a collaborative and performance-rich environment, regularly participating in ensembles such as the Concert Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and chamber music ensembles. The brass area brings together students, faculty, and guest artists for masterclasses, performances, and networking. Our brass students have also won competitions and been accepted to summer music programs across the country.
The Department of Music offers several degree options:
- Bachelor of Music in Performance
- Bachelor of Music with Teacher Certification
- Bachelor of Arts (Music Industry)
- Bachelor of Arts (Music Studies)
- Music Minor
