The Lichtenstein Quartet is a full- tuition scholarship quartet intended for music majors with a string emphasis. Acceptance into the quartet is by audition only for violin, viola, and cello majors. Led by Dr. Carrie Pierce, the quartet performs one full chamber ensemble concert per semester, plus additional performances for the university and the community throughout the year. Funded by a grant through the Morris L. Lichtenstein Foundation, one of the missions of this quartet is to provide free group and private lessons to underserved children throughout the community.
